Create an account

An account needs a handle, a display name, an email address, and a password. You can also start from GitHub instead of choosing a password.

Create an account with a password

To create your account, follow these steps:

1. Go to accounts.soh.gg and click Create an account.
2. In the Handle field, enter the name that identifies you across CodeSoh.
3. In the Display name field, enter the name that other people see.
4. In the Email address field, enter your address.
5. In the Password field, enter a password of at least 10 characters.
6. Click Create account.

You're signed in right away, and a verification link goes to your address.

What the fields accept

Field	Rules
Handle	Lowercase letters, digits, and single hyphens between them. 3 to 32 characters. Some handles are reserved, and a handle that someone else has taken can't be used. Your handle appears in URLs and can't be changed later.
Display name	1 to 80 characters.
Email address	A valid address of at most 254 characters that no other account uses.
Password	10 to 200 characters. It can't be the same as your email address or your handle.

Verify your email address

The message goes to the address that you entered, and the link in it works for 24 hours. Until you follow the link, your profile page shows that your address isn't verified.

To send the message again, follow these steps:

1. Go to Profile.
2. Next to your address, click Resend verification email.

If the link expired, request a new message and open the newest link.
