Sessions
A session is one browser that's signed in to your account. The Security page lists every session, so you can see where your account is in use and end anything that you don't recognize.
See your sessions
Go to Security. The Sessions section lists each session with its device, its IP address, and when it was last active. The session that you're reading the page in is marked This session.
A session lasts 30 days from the moment it starts. A sign-in that hasn't finished its second step lasts 15 minutes and isn't listed.
End one session
To end a session, follow these steps:
- Go to Security.
- In the row of the session, click Sign out.
If you end the session that you're using, you're signed out and sent to the sign-in page.
End every other session
To end every session except the one you're using, follow these steps:
- Go to Security.
- In the Sessions section, click Sign out other sessions.
Both actions appear in your activity.
Sessions end on their own
Sessions also end in the following cases:
- You change your password. Every other session ends.
- You reset your password. Every session ends, including the one that asked for the reset.
- You delete your account.
