Connected accounts
A connected account lets you sign in to CodeSoh with an account that you already have. GitHub is the provider that CodeSoh supports.
Connect GitHub
To connect GitHub to an account that you already have, follow these steps:
- Go to Security.
- In the Connected accounts section, next to GitHub, click Connect.
- Approve the request on GitHub.
The page confirms that your GitHub account is connected, and the row shows the GitHub login and the date. From then on, Continue with GitHub on the sign-in page signs you in to this account.
A GitHub account connects to one CodeSoh account. If the GitHub account is already connected somewhere else, the page says so and nothing changes.
Disconnect GitHub
To disconnect GitHub, follow these steps:
- Go to Security.
- Next to GitHub, click Disconnect.
If your account has no password, disconnecting is refused, because GitHub is the only way you can sign in. Set a password first, as described in Change your password, and then disconnect.
Both actions appear in your activity.
What CodeSoh reads from GitHub
CodeSoh reads your GitHub login, your name, and your verified email address. If GitHub supplies a verified address and you keep it when you create your account, your CodeSoh address counts as verified.
